Tuscany in mid April

Kristin asked 6 anni ago
Hi Elena, informative site.
I’m planning to drive for 4 days around Tuscany in mid April, 2016. As an avid photographer, which places should I NOT miss. What would the landscape be during that time be …. green, brown, flowers, grass, hay bales, morning fog? Thanks in advance.

Hello Kristin!
Thanks a lot for asking my help
April is one of the best months to visit Tuscany, especially as you’re touring it by car. During spring, Tuscany is absolutely magnificent, full of green, grass, flowers, and mystic morning fog!
The places you should NOT absolutely miss are the area south of Siena, known by the name of Val d’Orcia Valley, and the Chianti area, between Florence and Siena.
Val’Orcia is really a paradise for photographers, you’ll stay enchanted. Here and there in both areas are also some of the most beautiful small villages of Tuscany, great to take pictures, especially Pienza and San Gimignano.
I’ve finally dedicated a entire post to the most scenic drives to take in Tuscany, I recommend them!
Enjoy your Tuscan trip!
