Tuscany Florence Itinerary for 4 days
Hi,
I am planning on going to Tuscany/Florence for 3 – 4 days in September. There will be 3 of us. It is our first time.
Please could you suggest an itinerary and or a company that arrange a private tour.
We would like to visit the country side, do a wine tour as well.

You will love the place and would definitely like to come back to visit more of it!
Here is my suggested itinerary for your 3 days in Tuscany:
I would spend one full day visiting the beautiful Florence and all its Renaissance wonders, you stay one night there.
You renting a car? If yes on the following day, leave Florence and head toward the scenic countryside of the Chianti wine region, the perfect place to be for a wine tour! The area abounds in wine cellars, so you may stop where you most like, while driving on the scenic Chiantigiana route, that runs from Florence to Siena on a spectacular landscape.
You could spend the remaining nights right in Chianti, maybe on some typical Tuscan farmhouse with viwes. Some of the best wineries I suggest you visit there are the Castle of Verrazzano, Badia a Passignano, and the Castle of Brolio. These are just some of the many famous names in the area.
While in Chianti, also take the chance to visit the wonderful town by medieval towers, the unique San Gimignano, also renowned for producing a great white wine called the Vernaccia di San Gimignano.
On your last day, after a small stop in the walled village of Monteriggioni, still having Chianti as your base, go visit Siena, one of the most beautiful towns in the world…in my opinion. I love it! Siena itself really offers a lot to see, but in case you may still have, or, you’re spending one more day in Tuscany, then head south of Siena to reach the spectacular hill towns of the Val d’Orcia, Montalcino, Pienza, and Montepulciano above all. This is again another famous wine area producing fine red wines like the Brunello.
In case you’re not renting a car, or, even in order to save time, and thus visit a bit more sights, you might take advantage of a private tour.
