Hi,
I imagine you refer to the lovely Villa il Trebbio in Cortona. The best way to get to the villa is via the A1 Motorway from Rome to the Valdichiana exit. It’s the fastest way, taking around 2 hours and 10 minutes. While driving you may consider some stops to visit beautiful hill towns like Orte, Orvieto, and Civita di Bagnoregio.
As you will have 2 nights there, I would dedicate one full day visiting Florence and another day going west to visit Montepulciano, Pienza, and all other charming villages of the Val d’Orcia. Another not-to-be missed destination is surely Siena, but I don’t know if you will have time for that as well.
Anyway, there are lots of day tours you can take starting from Cortona, just take a look and make up your mind.
Let me know if you need any more suggestions,
Enjoy your holiday!

You’re welcome!
Cortona is just 10 minutes away by car. Cortona itself is all to be visited! it’s one of the most beautiful hill towns in Tuscany. Here are some info on this ancient Etruscan town.

Hi Elena,Having a hard time finding car rental drop off in cortona. Driving from Rome to villa trebbio. Looking for drop off that would be easy access to take train to Venice after our 2 days in Tuscany/Florance. Any suggestions?

Ciao The best place to take a fast train to Venice is certainly Florence. I’d suggest you drop your car off near the Santa Maria Novella train station in Florence. You may well decide to pay a brief visit to Florence right before taking the train to Venice. Train timetables on trenitalia.com,For any further advice, just ask!elena
