Are Montepulcino and San Gimignano good cities to stay in?
Hi there! I and my wife are planing to spend 7 days in Tuscany, from 25th to 31th of October. We do prefer picturesque places rather than touristic points. What is the best planning for this purpose? Where to be based? We have thought of having two basecamp: Montepulcino and San Gimignano. Thank you. Greetings from Brazil

Both Montepulcino and San Gimignano are great to stay as a base in Tuscany, and both are among the most beautiful and appealing hill towns of Italy.
Basing in San Gimignano, better in its beautiful and peaceful countryside, will allow you to explore also some of the northern destinations in the region, while basing in Montepulciano can be a great starting point to explore southern Tuscany.
So splitting your stay among the 2 is the best thing you can do,
